Bok is Baas Goat Farm

About Us

It all started when our daughter attended UBCO in Kelowna years ago. We fell more -and-more in love with the Okanagan during our visits here. The beautiful scenery, amazing weather, and welcoming community really captured our hearts.

A few years later, the opportunity finally came along for us to move here. We fell in love with this rugged mountain property, where only goats seemed to be truly at home—so goats it was.

With the support from our son in the early years to help us break through the rough farm terrain here, and with a lot of hard work, determination, and many blessings, we were able to open our certified goat dairy in late 2025.

We purchased a brand-new herd of purebred Nigerian Dwarf goats. They roam freely and are thriving!

Our artisanal products are unique and made in small batches. We also love supporting our community, hence using locally sourced fruits and other products available in season. We make the finest gelato and supreme fresh cheeses like Feta, Haloumi and Chevre.

Our goats are funny – the heart of what we do. No wonder our farm is called, “Goat is Boss” …. as they truly are ruling our world. They are friendly, each with their own full-bodied personality, and more like pets than farm animals. They roam freely, which keeps them happy and healthy—this reflects in the sweet, rich, high-quality milk they produce.

Our hope for the future is to build something meaningful —a legacy for our children, grandchildren, and fellow goat lovers. That everyone who visits our farm returns again and again as friends to enjoy what we offer on our small goat farm for years to come.

We hope to see you soon … you won’t regret it!

About Our Goats

OUR GOAL - Quality over Quantity – Nigerian Dwarf Goats.

Key Reasons for Our High-Quality Nigerian Dwarf Goat Milk

Well-Cared-For, Happy Animals
Nigerian Dwarf goats have a gentle and friendly nature and are more like pets to us than traditional farm animals. Our goats are healthy, well-fed and happy. In the summer, they roam freely across the terrain. This level of care play an important role in the exceptional quality and taste of their milk.

Quality Over Quantity
We choose quality over quantity for our dairy farm. Nigerian Dwarf goats produce much less milk than larger goat breeds and despite this lower yield, we still chose heir milk because of its superior richness and quality.

High Butterfat and Nutrient Content
Our goat milk is rich in butterfat, typically ranging from 5–10% depending on the stage of the milking season. The higher butterfat content—significantly greater than that of larger dairy breeds—results in a creamier texture. It is also high in calcium, protein, and essential minerals.

Excellent Flavor
In the context of our farm nestled here in the mountains of the Okanagan, this terroir refers to how this mountain setting, the fresh cool air from the lake, the natural vegetation, and seasonal changes influence how our goats live and what they eat. All this, in turn, gives our milk that velvety smoothness, its sweetness, the richness and supreme character that cannot be replicated elsewhere. Combined with our farming practices, this results in goat products that do not have that familiar strong “goaty” taste often associated with other goat milk.
